World Malaria Day Successfully Marked - Activities - Pictorial

ACenter for Community Transformation marked this years World Malaria Day on 25th April 2015 at Kibyayi Village in Mubende. We want to thank the support we received from our partners; Mubende District Local Government - Department of Health, Uganda Health Marketing Group (UHMG) and Kasaana Child Development Center ( Kasaana CDC).

Our Main speaker was the Chairperson LCV Mubende disstrict Local Government Hon. Bazigattirawo Kibuuka  Amooti, he sensitized the gathered community about the dangers caused by Malaria over 300 people were tested and treated against malaria. The District chairperson asked Center for Community Transformation management  to establish a health center in Kibyayi community so that the influx registered in Mubende Regional Referral Hospital is reduced. He said that the hospital registers a lot of patients because in the absence of a health center in the community majority of them refer themselves to the referral hospital

Women and men also received free family planning services from UHMG using their mobile health team that came and the bus which is used as mobile clinic.

Kasaana CDC offered free HIV /AIDS Counseling and Testing and over 200 people tested for HIV/AIDS.
